Restoration of an Old SURVIVAL Knife from WW2

I felt there was something special about this old knife. But I couldn’t imagine that under that thick rust layer was hiding a huge engraving on one side of the blade. Also discovering a handle made out of paper was shocking! I managed to restore the blade, straighten the tang and made a brand new handle out of leather rings.
