Sample Rates vs 96kHz - Can you hear a difference?
Here is a fun little non-scientific test to see if you can spot any difference between a and 96kHz recording?
While the range of human hearing is 20 Hz to 20 KHz.
Higher sample rates preserve ultra high frequencies.
Most people over the age of 30 cannot hear anything above 17 KHz...
and this reduces further as you get older.
Can you hear any quality difference?
Note:
The final audio file is of course resampled to 48kHz to fit the video format.
My daughter (age 12) said the sounded more “blurry“ and less “focused“ and “crisp“ compared to the 96kHz sounds.
