Chaim Tauber “Ershter Vals“

Chaim Tauber was born on 14 June 1901. in Molive (Mogilev-Podolsky, Podolia, now Ukraine). His father was a poor tailor. Tauber studied in cheder, and later - in a commercial school. He participated in Mogilev-Podolsky society “Di Yiddish bine“ under the direction of Burekh Mozshvitsa. Soon, “Die moliver trupe,“ with Tauber on hand goes on a long “tour“ in the surrounding villages, during which they play “Dray matunes / Three gifts“ by Yitzhak Peretz Leibush..
