The end of September will decide a great deal, not only for the fall campaign of 2025, but also for the winter of 2025-26. The outcome of the battles near Pokrovsk will largely determine everything. The situation there is not so clear-cut, in fact. But I hope we will prevail, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counterattack in the Dobropillya area will come back to haunt them by wiping out their reserves. But this, I repeat, is not yet a foregone conclusion. The enemy still has a chance to inflict a local, but painful, defeat on us north of the Pokrovsk agglomeration.
