Gillian Anderson tells CBC’s Midday about how she came to land the role and how her audition made an impact on the Scully we saw on the screen. Gillian Anderson, who plays the diligent FBI Special Agent Dana Scully on the hit television show The X-Files, is interviewed by CBC Midday host Brent Bambury. They talk about the early days of the show, the depiction of her character and that of her partner Mulder as “deadpan“, and creator Chris Carter’s vision of the character. Anderson describes her audition, and they discuss her character as a role model for girls. She is asked about her own paranormal experience with the house she occupies in Vancouver.
