A Russian couple returned from Canada to their homeland to start a new life and raise their children away from destructive ideals. In their childhood, Pavel and Anita were taken by their parents to emigrate to faraway Canada, where life then was better than in Russia in the 90s. Years later, both living in Ontario, they met at mass meetings of Russian-speakers, got married, gave birth to a son, Kostya, and a daughter, Karina. Their life, well established for many years, went on as usual until Canada began changing rapidly beyond recognition. The last straw was the appearance of an “assistant teacher”—a transgender person with his “curriculum”—in the daycare where their son went.
