A Garden Party at Buckingham Palace

The Queen, along with The Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice, attends the first Garden Party of the summer at Buckingham Palace. Approximately 8,000 guests attend each garden party. People from all walks of life are invited on the recommendation of a large number of national organisations. This ensures that a representative cross-section of the community is invited and that guests are generally people who have contributed a large amount to their various organisations or society.
