Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is due to meet leader of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party Selahattin Demirtas in Moscow on Wednesday, December 23. The visit is taking place during a diplomatic crisis between Turkey and Russia after a Turkish fighter jet downed a Russian Su-24 on November 24.
