Polymer Clay: Spatter Painting on Raw Polymer Clay with Acrylic Paint Pens

Painting with acrylic paints on raw polymer clay is such a fun thing to do and can produce some really interesting results depending on what process you use of course. The beauty of working with raw clay is that you can manipulate the sheet after the paint has dried. This opens up a world of possibilities as far as beads or 3 dimensional pieces go. In this video I show you a super simple but very effective way of using acrylic paint pens (7mm broad nib) to create a yummy spatter effect. The demo is actually incredibly short - deliberately so - purely because the process is so simple. What is exciting here are the variations I’ve shared with you after the demo. Now this is where I start to have heart palpitations!! After the video and veneer variations, I’ve shared inspirational images of how I’ve used some of these spattered veneers so be sure to keep watching.
