Concert courtesy - Shree Swapnil Dhayde ** About Prasad Khaparde ** Prasad Khaparde is a senior disciple of Ustad Rashid Khan of the Rampur Sahaswan Gharana, One of the top-most vocalists of India today. He was a scholar at the famous Sangeet Research Academy of Kolkata. He hails from Ghatanji, a small town in Vidarbha Maharashtra. He was born in 1973, in a family of music loving educationists. His initial training in music was under the Guidance of eminent Gurus, Shri Bhalerao, D.V Panke, Pandita Sumantai Choudhari and Bhushan Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan. He received Masters Degree in Indian classical vocal Music in 1997 from Amaravti University. Prasad has also sung for the Marathi movie Thaang by renowned director Amol Palekar.
