Demon’s Crest 100% Speedrun - 41:57

I’ve beaten this! Watch my new 40:36 run here: 100% single-segment speedrun of Demon’s Crest, SNES NTSC-J version, done on BizHawk Compatibility Core, non-TAS. This run gets the “good“ ending by collecting all HP upgrades and items, and beating the true form of Phalanx. Timing starts when I press START at the title screen and ends when Phalanx 3 receives the final hit. Considering all the RNG in this game (bosses in particular), I think I got a very lucky and solid run. There are some minor mistakes though; for example, I missed the Flame Lord “inside kill“, costing six seconds. The final fight wasn’t the best, either. On the other hand, all Arma fights, Ovnunu and Holoturion were pretty amazing, and I pulled off both Mercury cancels (each one saving around 15 seconds). I’m very happy with how this run turned out!
