MAKING A LEATHER SHEATH | For A Forged Horseshoe Knife | Leather Craft

In this leather craft video I create a custom sheath for a unique knife that has been forged from an old horseshoe. Made from thick natural vegetable tanned leather, the sheath is designed to be ambidextrous for right side or left side carry. Due to the narrow shape of the knife, I decided to make a mirrored welt which allows the knife to be placed inside the sheath in any direction. The front of the sheath features a heavily textured tooling pattern and is finished with an antiqued mahogany dye fade. The edges are hand stitched and reinforced at the corners with brass rivets. I hope you enjoy watching the making process of this interesting knife sheath project. What is the Gospel? 👇 Check out my work on my Instagram account .
