Thanks to the new technologies already used, for example, for Beatles’ “Free As A Bird“, Cobain’s voice was completed in the studio with the addition of other instruments and/or with the general improvement of the sound. “Dire“ is the ultimate testament to Cobain’s creative genius, which continues to shine even in these minor pieces, and which, we assume, will continue to shine with other record issues and perhaps with documentaries and movies dedicated to him“. ------------------------------------- “...In Italian, “dire“ means “to speak“. When I woke up from a coma in Rome, everyone wanted me to say something, even though I was in a dire situation. I think our next album will be titled just like that, “Dire“. I’ll say what’s left to say, even if the situation is dire. Funny, isn’t it?“ (Kurt Cobain, interview to “Seattle Chronicles Today“, March 31, 1994) -------------------------------------- ....no, not really. This is NOT a real album (and the review and interview are fictional). It’s just a personal compilation of unreleased Cobain’s songs (with original Cobain’s voice), completed with instruments by the brilliant people in the following list: 01 - Studio mockup by TheBeginningOfMusic (segment) 02 - Studio mockup by TheBeginningOfMusic 03 - Studio mockup by TheBeginningOfMusic 04 - Studio mockup by TheBeginningOfMusic 05 - Studio mockup by Emdnau (bass improved by me) 06 - Studio mockup by Harmonova 07 - Studio mockup by Aidan Sage (bass and treble improved by me) 08 - Studio mockup by TheBeginningOfMusic (bass improved by me) 09 - Studio mockup by TheBeginningOfMusic 10 - Studio mockup by TheBeginningOfMusic 11 - Studio mockup by Riot Earth 12 - Session improved by If Kurt Cobain Lived (bass improved by me) 13 - Studio mockup by Silaserrad Album cover by The_Dude33 on Reddit. All the material is property of the respective owners. I have made this work only for personal pleasure (no commercial use). I’ve wanted a fifth Nirvana album for 30 years, the ones I found on Youtube i didn’t like much, now I’m satisfied. Even if I missed the concert in Rome (that year I said to myself “next year they will come back, that’s for sure“...). BTW: i have uploaded this album exactly 29 years, 2 days and 11 hours after I learned of Kurt’s death. I could have waited another year, but i’m old and life is short. Sorry.
