DIY MACRAME TUTORIAL NO. 46 | Design Inspiration! Celtic Figure Eights

I found a celtic design in a book yesterday of these intertwined figure eights and thought it would make a neat pattern for macrame. This tutorial is real-time video of me figuring it out for you; you’ll notice when I almost tie one in the wrong direction but catch myself! I hope you enjoy it and I love to see how you use these design elements in your work! You guys are so creative! Level: Intermediate Knots to know: Double Half Hitch. Familiarity with “magic switch knot“ is useful but I also explain it each time it comes up in this video. I use a 3mm, 3-ply cord in this video. This is not a stand-alone “design“ but rather a design component or idea. How much cord you will ultimately need will depend on your application of the design, the size of cord you use, etc. Love the videos? Consider becoming a patron on Patreon. Your kind support keeps me supplied with coffee for late-night video editing. Thanks!
