US, UK encircling China — China fires back

The world’s attention turns to the South China Sea as Washington sends a number of warships into the geopolitically crucial region in what some observes deem a show of force to Beijing. China considers Taiwan to be integral to its national existence and looks to Washington’s continuing overtures to the precarious island country with growing alarm. Meanwhile, a British aircraft carrier and other warships have been dispatched to the Pacific, and others have been deployed to the Black Sea as a show of “solidarity“ with Ukraine.
