In this restoration video I will bring back to life a vintage kitchen scale produced between 1920-1950 in the , Chicago. I bought it from an antiques website thinking that it would make a great restoration video and a beautiful decoration for my antique kitchen tool is very beautiful but beaten up by time and it was made by a company named American Family Scales. I decided to restore it in such a way that I will contribute to its look. The restoration process was pretty tough because the dial was very rusty and I had no chance to remove it without losing the markings so I had to paint it manu
...ally, a process that took me many hours. As well the paint on it was lead positive so I had to dispose of the waste properly, thing that cost me some extra money and to wear a mask all the time and with this heat that recently hit Europe wasn’t very easy, but I survived. I love how this antique American Family kitchen scale turned out and I’m happy that I could save it from decay.
