What volcano scientists feared happened: The powerful eruption of the Bulusan volcano again occurred on the Philippine island of Luzon. The ashfall affected residents of the municipalities of Juban, Casiguran and Magallanes. According to the Volcanic Ash Advisory Center, the eruption threw ash up to 5.7 kilometers ( miles) above sea level.
