The complete orchestral work consists of two tone-poems based on Episodes 11 and 6 of Lenau’s Faust: “Der nächtliche Zug“ (The Nightly Train), and “Der Tanz in der Dorfschenke“ (The Dance in the Village Inn). Liszt dedicated these episodes to his student Carl Tausig. The rights of this recording go to their respective owners.
