Ken Currie Artwork

Ken Currie is a Scottish artist who lives and works in Glasgow. He was born in 1960 in North Shields (to Scottish Parents) and later went on to study at GSA. Currie’s earlier works mainly dealt with social and political issues (as can be seen in his large canvases depicting the working classes in Glasgow). In the mid-1990s however, Currie moved away from narrative history painting to explore the wider universal theme of the human condition and how the body is affected by illness, ageing and disease.
