The other gets up and waffles on in a speech that doesn’t really mean anything, mentioning ’the national interest’ and ’pooling resources’. People in the audience look mystified. A man in the front row asks if Percy has any tickets. After a lot of crosstalk we realise the man thinks Percy is talking about the National Sweepstake when he refers to the national interest. More crosstalk, and the other man on the platform joins in, talking about favourites in the Derby verus the favourites in the Grand National.
