The Sparkletones on the Nat King Cole Show (1956)

In 1956, a group of teenage boys from South Carolina became one of the early frontrunners of the fledgling rock and roll phase and made their first ever television appearance on the Nat King Cole Show. In this broadcast, they perform two of their hit singles, “Rocket“ and “Black Slacks,“ with their lead singer, Joe Bennett.
