Alpay - Kirpiklerin Ok Ok Eyle (1967)

Born in 1935, Alpay was one of the most productive musicians of the era, releasing countless albums and 45’s up to today. He experimented with a number of genres such as folk, rock and pop. He is known for his soft and bloomy voice, and he has even sung in Italian and French. His hit songs include “Eylülde Gel” and “Fabrika Kızı.” His version of “Kirpiklerin Ok Ok Eyle,” which is an old folk song that has been covered by countless musicians, was released in 1967 by Sayan label. His interpretation of the song is interestingly short (it is only 2 minutes long) and has a more modern sound than most of the covers made during his era. —----------------------------------— Illustration: Çağlar Bıyıkoğlu —--------------------— Anatolian Rock Revival Project’e destek vermek isterseniz: You can contribute to our project via Patreon: —---------
