Kazan fans warmly welcomed Andrey, who plays for Dynamo Ural on loan. And he does it very vividly. He is one of the most productive players in the Russian championship and the best ace. But in the opening of the meeting, his teammate Roman Potalyuk was more noticeable, who scored several goals and gave out a good series of serves with an ace, turning the score 1:3 into 5:3. To interrupt another series of Potalyuk, Alexey Verbov took a timeout. It helped – the diagonal guest made a mistake (13:14). His counterpart Kirill Kletz made even more mistakes on serve (3 losses in 4 attempts). But at the end of the game, Mikhail Labinsky and Roman Romanovsky served perfectly, knocking Kirill Ursov and Surmachevsky out of the reception. At the same time, Labinsky was great in attack (5/6) – 23:21. Surmachevsky’s attack into the out brought Zenit victory in the opening set. Kazan suffered with the innings of Yegor Yakutin (two aces and a passing ball) until Romanovsky still took the team off an unsuccessful alignment – 8:8. Then Zenit began to rapidly break away thanks to an excellent game in defense and on the block. Dmitry Volkov stopped Surmachevsky’s attack, and Potalyuk hit out – 15:11. At that moment, Sam Deru, who had been recovering from an injury for a long time, replaced Labinsky. He immediately provided a high-quality reception and got two goals in defense. Volkov single-handedly blocked Potalyuk (19:13), sending him to the reserve. Ufa residents did not succeed in the attack (33%). Kletz completed the defeat of Dynamo Ural with two consecutive aces - 25:16. Potalyuk returned to the court, but did not return to the game: two out attacks and a hit under Romanovsky’s block – 6:1 in favor of Zenit. Success on the pitch gave Kletz confidence in the attack – he scored one goal after another. Deru scored an ace and scored from the back line – 15:5. With a comfortable breakaway, Verbov released Yevgeny Rukavishnikov to pass, and everything went to a quick victory for Kazan. But then Surmachevsky came to the fore with a protracted series of powerful serves. He forced Ilya Fedorov and Volkov to make mistakes in the reception, knocked out Kletz in the out, and also forced Verbov to burn both timeouts. After the second Kletz scored – 16:12. Volkov’s mistakes in attack and reception allowed Ural to reduce the gap to a minimum (18:19). But Dmitry quickly rehabilitated himself, realizing the attack and closing Surmachevsky’s block – 22:19. He also set the winning point in the match. VFV -
