Concept art of the Snow Queen’s Freezing Effect for the film “Volshebnyy Uchastok“

According to the plot, the Snow Queen freezes a character by touching them. The goal was not just to create a beautiful freezing effect but to add a touch of humor. Therefore, the final concept was inspired by something everyone can see in their freezer if they haven’t defrosted it in a while 🙂 The concept was developed during pre-production, so there was no footage yet. The brave founder of Black Point Studio, Ilya Shutov, volunteered to be the victim of VFX supervisor Yevgeny Lesnichenko (his hand is in the shot) during the creation of my concept art 😀 “Volshebnyy Uchastok“ is a comedy series based on Slavic folklore.
