See how easy it is to make your own velvet pumpkins with this quick tutorial! These easy to make fall decorations are the perfect autumn decorations for your home (& they make great fall gifts!) Choose velvet or even satin fabric in your favorite colors and with a little hot glue, rice, & a pumpkin handle/stem you will have a fun fall accent! Tying the pumpkin completely shut can be tricky if the velvet is thicker, but in this video, I’ll also show you an additional step you can use to get the pumpkin closed nicely. For making even larger pumpkins, use poly-fil stuffing on top of the rice to finish filling the pumpkin to give the pumpkin more height. This isn’t as necessary for smaller velvet pumpkins. Use branch pieces in replacement of pumpkin stems for handles if you don’t have pumpkin stems.
