Oak and Plywood Coffee Table

Get the plans! This is my design for a coffee table with a hardwood base and a plywood box with open shelves for the table top. This is my first time using oak and I had to do a lot of hand planing and thickness planing before I could cut it down to size I wanted but I really like the result and really enjoyed working with oak. The plywood has a high pressure laminate on the faces which gives it some good protection and the white gives a nice contrast with the oak. I decided to leave the edges of the plywood visible instead of edge banding.
