Counting Crows Bass Player performs Raag Yaman on Indian Slide Guitar | Meditation Music
Matt Malley is a songwriter, a bass player and one of the founding members of the multi-platinum selling rock band The Counting Crows. Matt co-wrote a lot of their songs, and he played the bass guitar and some piano on all of the biggest selling records and singles in the Counting Crows catalog. They sold 20 million records. In 2005, he got an Oscar nomination as a film composer for the song ‘Accidentally in Love,’ which became the title track for the film Shrek 2. Among other nominations are Grammy Awards and The Golden Globes and more.
Matt has been practicing Sahaja Yoga Meditation since 1987.
Yaman is regarded as one of the grandest and most fundamental ragas in Hindustani music.
