Sierra Ferrell, “Rosemary,“ // GemsOnVHS™

The first time I met Sierra, she asked me to dance at the Honky Tonk Tuesday night at the American Legion in Nashville. Of course i’d heard of her before - from Lost Dog and various bands and vagabonds who told me of her amazing old time singing and habit of blowing into (and out of) town. The rumors held true. Our friend Eric introduced us in his amazing home studio to do this video. You can find her latest release with Rounder Records here, featuring a re-imagined rendition of “Jeremiah“ backed with “Why’d Ya’ Do It“: BUY her tracks: Big thanks to VJ Arizpe and Richard Harmon for making this episode possible.
