The Crusaders continued moving into the Asia Minor and had to fight against the forces of the Seljuk Sultan of Rum Kilij Arslan in Dorylaeum () and after the victory over the sultan, the road to Syria was open, leading to the Siege of Antioch in 1097-1098.
