Embrio - Our Bloom ( To My Beloved)
About Embrio :
Somewhere around of year 2000 Embrio was formed by a vocalist & guitarist Branimir vugdelija and bassist Vlade Marinović. Not much time have passed and Damir Samardžić joins the band. In positon of drummer arrives younger brother Rino. One evening when Brane and Vlade were in house listening an album of Black Sabbath they get idea to call bend Embryo beacuse of Black Sabbath instrumental Embryo. Because of existence of band Embryo out of the Croatia they renamed name on Croatian in Embrio. Influenced by their favorite bands like Black Sabbath, Type 0 Negative, HIM they wanted some bigger of that band. With the latest setup as mentioned they won their first award from the local amateur music competition in Sinj. After not so much time after, the crew felt urge to have sum fresh blood in band and get their music to the next level and keyboarder was born, Petar Radovic joined the band. As a 5-members band and ocassional live performances band also creates their own music material, as song “Our Bloom“, which was created mainly by Branimir Vugdelija. For a short while Goran Mijic joined the band as a session lead guitarist. By the end of year 2002. they recorded their first demo album called “To my beloved...“. In the middle of year 2003. they won the top prize at local amateur music competition . (sinjski amaterski rock susret), and after that their first opportunity to play beyond Sinj showed up. Embrio headed to Zagreb, capital city of Croatia to play a gig in club “Mocvara“. By the begining of year 2004. by his own will Rino Vugdelija leaves the band due to loss of inspiration and Antuca Ugrin comes aboard. Meanwhile they work on the new material and record the new when the album was supposed to be done, some dissidences came up and Vlade and Antuca after recording have left the band. Denis Brkic got in band as a brand new bassist and on the empty spot of drummer comes a former drummer,Rino. In the end of 2005. year they finished their 2nd album called “Gabriels Grief“. In comparation to the previous album, Embrio achieved one unique sound which passed thru many changes. In the year 2007. they perform beyond Sinj more often than ever. And again, as the bands latest setup developement they recruited Nikola Buljan as a new lead guitarist leaving more space to Branimir for singing. For the first time of history of Embrio, band is consisted of 6 members. Preparations for the 3rd album have begun. On a sad day of 21 of July 2007., on a saturday around 5 pm, the day after concert called “Resurrection“, band has confronted to the tragic loss of brother, friend and the most important member of Embrio, Branimir Vugdelija who sadly passed away. That was certainly the hardest day for Embrio. Despite the crushing blow to bands heart and irreplaceable loss, band decides to keep up with work, and considers that Branimir himself would have desired it like that. Role of the vocalist was taken by Petar Radovic and for a new keyboardist Embrio recruits a good friend, Josip Markovic, who meanwhile played in black/goth band Frivolous Stir from Split. Band starts to write a new chapter surrounded by enormous support of numerous fans and Branimir. It took a bit of time to get back on track but with strong will and huge desire to live on stage again the band came back. Now performing around more than ever. Quality of performance also went to the next level and Embrio was really well accepted! Can be said that Embrio evolved. One fact certainly helped alot to it. Embrio got the chanse to play on Slovenian Metal camp second stage. It was an awesome gig, with awesome audience. Embrio members are proud of the fact that we got more audience than some bands at the main stage and that was a huge boost of moral. Ofcourse it is just the begining of something bigger in future... Now looking forwards to get signed and all the neccessary stuff to show the world something we love and enjoy doing.
