Israel - Land Of The Four Seas (1966)

Israel is where the ever present past beckons the visitor at every turn. Tel-Aviv is Israel’s largest city. M/S of jets landing at Lot (?) Airport, an EL AL Boeing 707, a BOAC VC10, a BEA Comet . M/S of aircraft steps as tourists exit BEA plane. Shots of tourists on holiday, children in a hotel pool, a man wearing a hat and glasses, swimming in the pool. Various shots of girls sunbathing in bikinis. L/S of hotel pool, pan to beach. M/S exterior of the Sheraton hotel. A car pulls away from outside (01:02:06). Various shots of the streets of Tel-Aviv, with some point of view shots from inside the car. The streets are tree lined and a woman gets out of the car and goes to a tree which is covered with magazines - Vogue etc. Next we see a girl in a bikini floating in the waters of the Dead Sea. She gets up and goes ashore and showers at the beach side. The waterfall at Ein Geddi’s is 1000 feet below sea level. C/U shots of water cascading over rocks.
