You’ve seen the movie Elf, but have you seen a hyena watching the movie Elf? Keepers offered our hyenas (Moja seen here) the opportunity to watch the holiday classic Elf as sensory enrichment! Hyenas are notorious for being destructive with toys due to their naturally curious nature and exceptionally strong jaws. Offering them sensory enrichment like TV, scent trails, bubbles or even dig pits are an excellent way to keep their minds active and help give our “hyena-proof“ toys a bit of a break from those relentless chompers.
