Billy Hancock is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist who has recorded in many genres including rock, folk and blues. Billy was born William Curtin O’Brien Hancock on November 4, 1946. Billy started his career playing bass and singing in the band of the late great Roy Buchanan, before forming a band with Danny Gatton. Billy went solo in the late 1970’s making 3 albums from 1978 to 1982 containing mostly Rockabilly and Roots Rock. It is these 3 albums that gave him international notoriety.
