I bought my Lamborghini Huracan STO from Lamborghini Pangbourne already nearly 10 months ago and it’s just crazy how quickly time has flown by, as well as the odo counting up to 4,000 miles. In that time I’ve had a lot of fun with it, certainly put some smiles on people’s faces and also had a few fingers raised, but let’s go out for a run to think a little more about what it costs, and what it might cost if I were to install the supercharger from VF Engineering that I recently experienced. As it happens, all new Lamborghini models in the UK include 4 years of servicing and warranty by default which is an incredible package and makes it a delight and stress free experience. However, in the the UK we also have particularly unfriendly insurance which for a car like this is based on statistics, and apparently the statistics of 30-something year old males driving Lambos are not good! In fact, the insurance bill turned out to be a huge sum in the first year of the car, which thankfully has settled down after my policy renewal, but certainly made me think in the meantime. However, I also reached out for a quote to see what it would increase to if I install the supercharger, and let’s just say it might be a bit of a barrier to entry with the result.
