Open Air Sculpture (1960)

Battersea Park, London. C/U of a large, egg-shaped sculpture entitled ’Large Object’ by Hubert Dalwood; this is part of an open-air sculpture exhibition in the park. M/S of a man and woman looking at another sculpture, the ’Glenkiln Cross’ by sculptor Henry Moore; C/U tilt down of this 11ft high sculpture; it has a large bone-like top merging into an irregular column. Nice M/S in the park; some people sit on a grassy bank and look at the sculptures in view, others walk about; pan right to show some young people sitting on the grass before a sculpture and sketching. M/S of these two girls and one young man. M/S and C/U of ’Diogenist’, worked in Hopton Wood stone by Mark Batten, President of The Royal Society of British Sculpture; it shows an ancient Greek-style man drinking from a bowl.
