TAPPING & TOUCH STYLE: The Italian Guitarist Vittorio Camardese, One Of The Pioneer Of Modern Guitar Technique (1965). La técnica del tapping en instrumentos de cuerda, No fue descubierta por Chapman, fue descubierta a finales de la década del 40 por Henry DeArmond y perfeccionada por su alumno llamado Jimmy Webster y no lo llamaba tapping sino “Touch Style” o “Touch Technique”. A principios de los 50 Webster comenzó a escribir el primer libro de tapping a dos manos de la historia el cual fue publicado en 1955 “The Touch Style for the Spanish Electric Guitar”. In 1952, Jimmie Webster described his new way to play guitar in a book called “Touch System“. There were pioneers Merle Travis and Mark Laughlin, and then Dave Bunker, all playing with two-handed tapping. ☝️😳🎸: Van Halen did NOT invent tapping, Camardese (Italian guitarrist) did in 1965 (two handed tapping guitar).
