Titles read: “DUKE AND DUCHESS OF GLOUCESTER IN BIRMINGHAM“. Birmingham, West Midlands. The Chancellor, the Lord Mayor and Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain are also present. The entourage later watch a parade of ex-servicemen and civic workers march past in Canon Hill Park, then visit the Pageant of Birmingham at Aston Park, where decorated floats and hundreds of people in fancy dress costume recreate different eras from the city’s history from prehistoric times (complete with large model dinosaurs) to the present day.
