Here are various looks at an M3.9 solar flare around sunspot 2449 on Monday (11/9/2015) at 13:12 UTC courtesy of the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). As of this update, full coronagraph imagery courtesy of LASCO C2 is still unavailable. What is available does show a CME emerging from the blast site and appears to be directed mostly to the south and east. More updates regarding a possible Earth directed component once additional imagery becomes available.
