Why Are So Many Cars Abandoned on China’s Roadsides, Untouched for an Entire Year?
Recently, many Chinese bloggers have been talking about these so-called “zombie cars“. These cars can be seen on the roads around cities like Guangzhou and Shenzhen or in remote wilderness areas, where they have been parked for a long time. Some are covered in dust, some are draped with tarps, and some have grass growing around them up to two meters high. These cars come in various shapes and sizes. Some still look very new but have been parked by their owners in the wilderness for a long time.
