Notepad Flip & Spell 💡 ages 4 💡 Here’s a fun way for kids to practice spelling and reading simple 3-letter words. It’s also a great way to learn about word families and a fun word family kindergarten game. 👉 Materials Needed: - Wooden dowel (or a pipe cleaner would work too) - 3 coil bound small notepads - Black marker 👉 What To Do: 1. Start by inserting the wooden dowel through the coil of each notepad until all three are attached to the dowel. 2. Next flip open the notepads and write all lowercase letters, a - z, in black markers - one on each page, in alphabetical order. 3. Now ask the child to flip the pages to make as many three letter words as they can. 4. Optional: give them a piece of paper and pencil to write the words they find. This activity is great for sounding out words and can be fun for older kids to see how many words they can make!
