“Museum of the World Ocean“, Kaliningrad. It has exhibitions dedicated to shipping, marine flora and fauna, geology and hydrology of the world’s oceans, as well as a marine library and an operating environmental station.

The visitor can examine the museum ships “Vityaz”, “Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev”, the fishing vessel “SRT-129”, and the floating lighthouse “Irbensky”.
“Irbensky” is a Soviet and Russian floating lighthouse, currently a museum ship on display at the Museum of the World Ocean (moored at the Peter the Great embankment in Kaliningrad). One of the last inhabited lightships built in the world.
The only floating lighthouse in the world is Irbensky. The “Planet Ocean” ball case is located on the territory of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad.
Tourist pleasure boats take tourists on rides along the Pregolya rier.

“Vityaz” is a legendary ship in the history of oceanology, which made a huge contribution to the study of the World Ocean.
“Vityaz“ is a Soviet research vessel that made many long-distance sea voyages in the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans in 1949-1980. Since 1994 it has been an exhibit of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad. The ship houses exhibitions dedicated to the history of geographical discoveries and shipping. Many historical interiors have been restored - the captain’s cabin, the wardroom and others.
SRT-129 is a medium fishing trawler (logger). It was built in the 1950s for the USSR in the GDR. Since 2007 - one of the exhibits of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad. The only museum fishing vessel in Russia.
The R/V “Cosmonaut Viktor Patsaev” is a telemetric research vessel. Currently, the ship is docked at the pier of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad. The main tasks of the vessel were receiving and analyzing telemetric data, trajectory measurements and providing radio communications between spacecraft and the Mission Control Center.
