Russian Raptor High Speed Patrol Boat - A Swedish Navy CB-90 look alike?
Footage shows Russian special forces conducting an assault exercise on a mock enemy postion using Russian Raptor Class High-Speed Patrol Boat.
The Russian Navy under project 03160 received its first Raptor patrol boats in 2015 after the Russian Ministry of Defence awarded a contract with the Boat manufacturer Open JSC Pella based in Leningrad, Russia.
The Patrol boats are operated by the Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet and are based at the Leningrad Naval Base.
The Raptor class boat made its first appearance in 2013 during the manufacturers sea trials, those early photo’s soon had the Defence Press reporting and comparing the Raptor Class design to be very similiar to that of the Swedish Navy Combat Boat 90 built by the Swedish boat manufacture Dockstavarvet.
The video shows the Raptor class boat in action and includes clips of Swedish and Norwegian Strb 90 H; CB90 class fast military assault craft.
