Tying the Big ’N’ayat Hulk (Pike Fly)

The Big N Hulk was born at the British Fly Fair International (BFFI) in Stafford, UK this year whilst tying on one of the suppliers stands. It’s a lengthy tie, but I’m a firm believer that a little extra effort tying with natural materials like bucktail, nayat (snow runner) and long thin saddle feathers, gives the fly better movement over synthetics. I know the pike don’t always care, but it’s important the flyfisherman has confidence in his fly.
