SOO, ... as some of you may have seen in one of my “Road Trip“ videos this past spring, my lower chainstay broke clean in half while riding out in Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. For that first break I immediately reached out to BikesOnline to file for warranty and after inspection and showing video of the incident, they honored my warranty. Their HQ was only 4.5 hrs from where I was and their tech guy Anthony said they found a chainstay and if I could get to them he’d put it on for me. Problem solved, ... or so I thought!
Flash forward to this August I was riding my local trails just coming around a turn and rode over a small stump and BOOM, cracked again, ... SAME SPOT! 🤯
After sending my explanation and some photos/videos to BikesOnline, and also reaching out directly to Polygon, the warranty was awarded again and so began a THREE month waiting period for a new lower chainstay replacement to arrive.
This Monday, it finally arrived! The bike is back together, so I took it for a “shakedown run“ to feel it out and give a chance for some things to settle, made some adjustments later that night to dial it in, and rode again the next day.
To be honest, the bike is now so quiet and solid it feels like its currently running better than it ever has! “Fingers crossed“! 🤞
