This Effective Takedown Addresses A Big Problem In BJJ When Standing

Today’s BJJ technique is one of my absolute favorite takedowns for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I demonstrate the technique in both gi and no gi. One of the big reasons I love it so much is because many BJJ practitioners have a very passive and defensive stance with takedowns. Usually this is where their butt is waaaay back. This makes it hard for shots and takedowns. So in today’s video I’ll show you how to do an arm drag to inside trip that I’ve been able to hit at just about every BJJ competition in the last 5 years. I personally love anything that works off the arm drag in BJJ since no matter the defensive posture. You can always get a grip somewhere on their arms.
