SEL 8.3“ 8K Crystalline Oxide IGZO, Tri-fold OLED, 5291ppi OLED, OLED with Organic Photodiode

Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co., Ltd. (SEL) focus on R&D of technologies using crystalline oxide semiconductor. At SID Display Week 2019, SEL shows many prototypes (e.g., tri-fold display, 8k display, OLED display with organic photodiodes, and 5291-ppi OLED display). The tri-fold display has the following features: 1. OLED materials developed by SEL have enabled RGB light emission satisfying the color gamut, significantly improving color expression. 2. A capacitive-touch screen is integrated with the flexible display. This allows touch function without reducing high flexibility, a feature of this display. 3. While maintaining good flexibility, the flexible display shows improvement in issues with conventional ones: this display has better impact and scratch resistances and is easier to handle. 4.
