Lower Basildon, Berkshire.
Various shots show Jean Rubenis at work in her Wild Bird Hospital; she cleans up a Barn Owl’s eye; two little girls come along with an injured wood pigeon they have found by the road; Jean puts a piece of tape around the bird’s leg, then places it in a little cage.
She feeds some meat to a kestrel with a broken wing, then a buzzard; she gives some medicine to a swan and sets a small alarm hanging round her neck for the swan’s next feeding time. Jean puts some drops in the eye of a Little Owl - it’s tiny!.
Several shots of Jean with a blind swan on a lead; the swan has a little swim in the Child Beale Trust lake while Jean keeps hold of the lead.
Note: on file are notes and two news cuttings about Jean. Cuts exist - see separate record.
