UpCycling this old Glass Jar into a Piece of Gothic Art | DIY Steampunk Gothic Art & Decor

This time I experimented for the first time with attaching resin ornaments to glass and with red colour. What do you think? 🕯️For this project I upcycled an old glas jar that has initially been a candle in a glass and turned it into this burgundy gothic steampunk skull jar that can be used as a pen holder or planter. After I had burned the candle I removed the wax and the plastic sheeting and roughened the surface a bit with sandpaper. I cased 18 appliques from resin and glued them onto the surface with wood glue. In order to fit on the round surface I had to heat each with a hair dryer first.🩸Yes, I always use wood glue - for all my project no matter what material is involved … and most of the time no wood is involved ^^. On my first projects I tried different types of glue but interestingly this one works best ^^ 🍷 For painting it I again used whatever paint I could find at home. I have some leftovers of red wall paint from my ocean wall mural and I used this as a basis.
