Japan’s bizarre ‘snow monsters’ attract tourists to Mount Zao

The giant “creatures” are made of snow and ice, built up over tree trunks and branches. The spectacular scene on the upper slopes of the mountain attracts thousands of visitors from late January to mid March every year.
