The Legend of Kyrandia (PC) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Westwood’s 1993 CD “talkie“ version of the graphic adventure, Fables and Fiends: The Legend of Kyrandia, for PCs running Dos. By the early 1990s, Westwood was really beginning to hit their stride. A number of their earlier titles went somewhat ignored (and remain that way now), but around 1990 people started to take notice. Between their AD&D titles (especially the successful Eye of the Beholder games) and Dune II, they had people wondering just what would come next. Fables and Fields: The Legend of Kyrandia certainly didn’t disappoint. While it might not have been the best adventure game ever, the graphics looked fantastic for VGA circa 1992, easily rivaling Sierra and LucasArts titles at the time, and the soundtrack sounded great, no matter what sound card you were relying on to synthesize it. The puzzles (generally) made sense and were logical - as long as you ignore that horrendous cave section - and it put a darker spin on the fantasy genre than King’s Quest had attempted yet. This
